Empowering Voices. Creating Futures.
Helping Cherokee County youth explore music production, recording arts, media creation, technology, and creative career pathways.
The Cherokee County Recording Arts Initiative (CCRAI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to giving local youth real access to the tools, training, and mentorship behind modern music and media production.
We believe every young person in our community deserves the chance to discover what they're capable of creating — whether that's a song, a podcast, a short film, or the technical skills behind the scenes that make those things possible.
Through hands-on programming in recording arts, audio engineering, video production, and creative technology, we're building a pipeline from curiosity to career — right here in Cherokee County.
Before we build our programs, we want to build them around real needs. We're surveying parents, students, and community leaders across Cherokee County to understand interest, access, and gaps — so the initiative we launch actually serves the people it's meant for.
Your input directly determines which skills, equipment, and class formats we prioritize first.
We want to know who currently has access to recording and media tools — and who doesn't.
Lasting programs are built with the community, not just for it. This survey is step one.
CCRAI programming is designed to grow with each student — from first exposure to a microphone, to portfolio-ready production skills.
Beat-making, recording, mixing, and songwriting fundamentals using industry-standard software and equipment.
Hands-on training in studio setup, mic technique, signal flow, and sound editing.
Podcasting, video production, and storytelling skills for the next generation of content creators.
Exposure to the software, hardware, and digital tools that power modern creative careers.
Mentorship and exposure to real career routes in music, media, and entertainment industries.
Opportunities for students to perform, screen, and share what they've created with the community.
